Tournament Rules

  1. General Provisions
    1. The Antalya Women’s Football Tournament is an international women’s football competition organized to:
      • prepare teams for the new season;
      • enhance international football cooperation;
      • promote women’s football;
      • provide high-quality international matches and training environment.
    2. The Organizing Committee is responsible for:
      • football pitches and infrastructure;
      • match officiating;
      • medical support;
      • match scheduling coordination;
      • awards and ceremonies.
    3. All participating teams automatically accept this regulation by confirming participation.
  2. Registration and Participation Conditions
    1. Final registration deadline: 25 November 2026
    2. Eligible participants:
      • women’s professional football clubs;
      • youth and reserve women’s teams;
    3. Each team must submit:
      • Official squad list (players and staff);
      • Valid player insurance confirmation;
      • Two official kits in different colors.
    4. All participating teams are required to stay in official hotels provided by the Organizing Committee.
    5. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to allocate teams to official hotels.
    6. Participation in the tournament is free of charge. No entry fee is required.
    7. No age restrictions apply unless otherwise decided by the organizer.
  3. Tournament Format
    1. The tournament is played in an international friendly league format with standings.
    2. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 matches during the period 15–25 January 2027.
    3. The match schedule is created based on:
      • team level
      • team requests where possible;
      • logistics and player recovery requirements.
    4. The tournament winner is the team with the highest number of points at the end of all matches.
  4. Points System
    • Win: 3 points
    • Draw: 1 point
    • Loss: 0 points
  5. Ranking Criteria (Tie-break Rules)
    1. In case of equal points between two or more teams, ranking is determined by:
      • Head-to-head results
      • Goal difference
      • Goals scored
      • Number of wins
      • Penalty shootout (if applicable in direct encounter in final stage context)
      • Organizing Committee decision or drawing of lots
  6. Match Regulations
    1. All matches are played according to the Laws of the Game: FIFA
      1. Match duration:
        • 2 halves of 45 minutes
        • 15-minute half-time break
      2. Substitutions:
        • Unlimited substitutions are allowed with prior agreement before the match.
      3. Teams must be ready at least 30 minutes before kickoff.
      4. If a team arrives more than 15 minutes late without a valid reason, a 0–3 technical defeat may be awarded.
  7. Refereeing
    1. All matches are officiated by referees appointed by the Organizing Committee.
    2. The referee’s decisions on the field are final.
    3. The Organizing Committee may appoint:
      • international refereeing teams;
      • local federation referees;
      • mixed referee crews.
  8. Disciplinary Rules
    1. Yellow cards:
      • 2 yellow cards in different matches = 1 match suspension.
    2. Red cards:
      • automatic suspension for at least 1 match.
    3. The Organizing Committee may extend suspensions in cases of:
      • violent conduct;
      • fighting;
      • insulting referees or opponents;
      • unsporting behavior.
  9. Medical Support
    1. Medical staff will be present at all matches.
    2. Each team is responsible for:
      • player medical insurance
      • medical documentation and clearance.
  10. Equipment
    1. Each team must provide:
      • at least two kits in different colors;
      • numbered jerseys;
      • goalkeeper kit in contrasting colors.
    2. In case of kit color clash, the team listed second in the schedule (away team) must change its kit.
  11. Protests
    1. Protests must be submitted in writing no later than 2 hours after the match.
    2. The decision of the Organizing Committee is final.
  12. Awards
    1. Awards will be given to:
      • Tournament winner;
      • 2nd and 3rd place teams;
      • Medals to all participants.
  13. Force Majeure
    1. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the schedule in case of:
      • adverse weather conditions;
      • force majeure situations;
      • safety concerns;
      • technical or operational issues.
  14. Final Provisions
    1. This regulation becomes effective upon publication.
    2. Any matters not covered in this document shall be resolved by the Organizing Committee in accordance with general international football principles.
